Google has recently named its new operating system Android 7.0 as “Android Nougat” after becoming subject of rumors for quite some time. In the recent leak the new and most anticipated Nexus 2016, will come running on Android Nougat.

As per the report reported by Android Police, the official name of the Nexus 2016 will be “Marlin,” which is being manufactured by HTC. As per the leaked, Specs device will feature, 5.5 inches at a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The smartphone will reportedly come with a quad-core Qualcomm processor, a USB-C port, 4 GB of RAM, a 3,450 mAh battery, and Bluetooth.

The device is also equipped (as expected) with fingerprint scanner located at the rear. As for its cameras, the smartphone will reportedly come with a 12-megapixel version at the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for the selfie. It is also said to come with AMOLED display and will be available in 32 or 128 GB of storage, as per the Android Police report the device will miss the 64 GB variant.

On the CPU front there is no much clarification and device is expected to run Snapdragon 820 CPU, Snapdragon 821 or 823 to boost the device performance.

The earlier devices of nexus were from LG and Huawei and this time it is manufactured by HTC. The two giant has worked together in the past (nexus tablet), we hope that this partnership will bring more for the users.

As far as the release date of the device is concerned there is no official announcement made by Google but it is expected that the device will be launched with Android Nougat and hopefully it will be in August 2016.

These all are the expectations and leaks of the device and it might change with the launch of device.
