Leaks and rumors suggest Xiaomi will launch Xiaomi Note 2 with dual curve display

Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi Note 4 in china with 4100mAh Battery and Helio X20 SoC, couple of days back and the recent leak suggest that company is all set to launch its next version of Note series with dual curved display.

The recent leaked images point towards a smartphone with a dual curve display, more like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Other than dual curve display, Mi Note is said to come with a 5.5-inch OLED screen. There will be two variants based on display resolution – 2K and 1080p. Other leaked specifications include 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and Snapdragon 821 processor. Official images of Mi Note 2 reveal dual rear camera set-up and metal unibody design.

The smartphone was rumoured to launch on August 25, which clearly didn’t happen. Other reports indicate Mi Note 2 will go official on September 5 in China.

Earlier reports claim Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB storage options. Xiaomi is reportedly dropping external memory support for Mi Note 2. The device will support QuickCharge 3.0 for fast charging. The front home button will double up as fingerprint scanner. Phoneradar also reports that the 4GB RAM variant of Mi Note 2 with 64GB internal storage will be priced at 2499 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000) while the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage could cost 2,799 Yuan (approximately Rs 28,000).

We would like to make it clear that this rumor has to be taken with pinch with salt as there is no official announcement regarding the launch date or price of the Mi Note 2 from the company yet.
