After lots of speculation, Lenovo has launched its new device in India, Lenovo Vibe K5 Note; Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is the successor to the K4 Note, which was launched in January this year. The K5 Note will be Flipkart exclusive in India and will support the ANT VR headset along with TheaterMax technology seen in the K4 Note.




From the design’s point of view Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has a metal unibody design.The new K5 Note is, however, more rounded at the edges compared to Vibe K4 Note and is 8.5 mm thick. It weighs 165 grams.

From the price point of view, Vibe K5 Note is priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB of RAM variant and Rs. 13,499 for the 4GB of RAM variant. It will be available from Flipkart in an open sale starting 11:59pm IST on Wednesday (3rd August, 2016), in Black, Silver, and Gold color variants.


As teased last week, the variants launched in India support more memory than the China variant, which bear only 2GB of RAM. It also gets 32GB of inbuilt storage, compared to 16GV on the China variant. It gets the Vibe moniker in India as well, which should help disambiguate between the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note and the Lenovo K5 Note. To recall, the K5 Note packs a lot of improvements over the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, such as an all-metal body.




India version of the K5 Note comes with 3GB and 4GB RAM versions. The 32GB storage is expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. Just like the K3 and K4 Note, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note also comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. The Indian version of the smartphone runs the an octa-core MediaTek 6755 processor clocked at 1.8 Ghz. Lenovo has kept the camera at 13 MP with f/2.2 for the Vibe K5 Note, while the front camera is 8MP.




Lenovo Vibe K5 Note runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own Pure UI which and has more pure Android feel to it. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note device will also offer secure zone option which will allow users to keep two Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail, etc accounts on their device.


Lenovo K5 Note is backed by a huge 3,500mAh battery and features a rear fingerprint scanner.
