iPhone users are not honest: Study
What if I say that your Phone talks a  lot about your personality? I know your first response will be “what?” But believe us in the recent study it is found that your Phone tells about your personality.
The research performed by large brains at the universities of Lincoln and Lancaster in the UK. They talked to 530 people over 2015 and 2016 about their phones and their feelings. And what results ensued.

Once the researchers collected and crunched all the data, their findings indicated there are noticeable differences in the personal qualities iPhone and Android users exhibit. Among other things, iPhone owners tended to be younger, more extroverted and more likely to regard their phone as a “status object”.

While concluding the research, researchers said: "In comparison to Android users, we found that iPhone owners are more likely to be female, younger, and increasingly concerned about their smartphone being viewed as a status object. Key differences in personality were also observed with iPhone users displaying lower levels of Honesty–Humility and higher levels of emotionality."

The research was originally conducted in September at the British Psychological Society Social Psychology Section annual conference. "This study provides new insights into personality differences between different types of smartphone users," said Heather Shaw, from the University of Lincoln in the U.K. "Smartphone choice is the most basic level of smartphone personalization, and even this can tell us a lot about the user," she added.

Researchers conducted two studies of personality differences between iPhone and Android smartphone users.  During the first study, 240 people were asked to complete a questionnaire on characteristics they associate with users of each smartphone brand.

In the second study, they tested these stereotypes against actual personality traits of 530 Android and iPhone smartphone users.

The first study revealed that Android users have greater levels of honesty and humility, agreeableness and openness personality traits than iPhone users. Also, they are less extrovert than iOS users.

I personally do agree with the research as iPhone has become the status symbol for many people around us and they feel that Android users are not cool enough.

So what you guys think about the study? Do you agree, with what they are saying? Do let us know your views in the comment section below.

  1. People who buy non gold standard knock offs (androids) are technical or stupid. The people who did this study or both not technical and not smart.
