After the failure of Galaxy Note 7 Samsung went on the backfoot on the sales point of view, getting defeated by Apple new flagship iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but if you see this year was mix and match of ups and down for Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are one of the best devices of 2016.

If we talk on the good side of 2016 from the Samsung Point of view, Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge were the most well-received smartphones of 2016, but the South-Korean technology giant lost momentum later on thanks to the Note 7 fiasco. Leaks around the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S8 series have been circulating online for some time now.

Earlier, the Galaxy S8 was rumored to feature 6GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Qualcomm has already announced its upcoming Snapdragon 835 processing chipset, and it might be used in the Galaxy S8. However, Samsung will also make a variant of the device with Exynos 8895 processor.

Now, a person familiar with Samsung’s plans who shared similar details in the past has taken to Weibo to say that the Galaxy S8 will feature a 10nm processor, 8GB of RAM, and UFS 2.1 flash memory.

When will the Galaxy S8 arrive?

One of the bigger question everyone is asking currently is when will Samsung launch its new flagship Galaxy S8?

To answer this, we would like to tell our readers Samsung usually follows the same launch cycle every year and introduces the new flagship at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in February end. However, according to reports, there will be a change in Samsung’s strategy for 2017.

Bigger Screen Size?

The increase in display size might not make the device substantially bigger as Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has been tipped to come with very thin bezels. The increase in display size, if it happens, wouldn't come as a surprise from the company due to the gap left in the phablet category from the recall of Galaxy Note 7. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone is said to launch alongside the Galaxy S8 that as we said is anticipated to sport a 5-inch display.
