Photos Leak shows Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus Specifications ahead of its launch

As we all know when the smartphone is about to launch with any company, what come as the natural is the leaks about the device. As we all know that Moto is about to launch Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus and we have more information before its launch.

Mobile World Congress is right around the corner, and all sorts of smartphones are expected to be announced. Apparently, Motorola has a bit of an untended leak on its hands—Spanish retailer Ktronix accidentally went live with press pictures and specs of some upcoming budget smartphones. The page was quickly taken down, but nothing like this ever disappears from the Internet, and in this case, some Twitter users (@davidteixe, @LSAwesome) managed to snag some pictures. Evan Blass saw the leak party and joined in with a picture, too.

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus look nearly identical, and not far off from the Moto G4. They have a hardware fingerprint reader that looks just like a physical home button but apparently isn't one, given that the devices have on-screen navigation buttons. The backs of the devices pick up a camera arrangement that looks a lot like the Moto Z—a big, round cutout in the back houses the camera equipment. On the G5 Plus, this section seems to stick out of the device; on the G5 the camera section is flush with the device.

The most interesting design touch is that some of the renders have a little "Lenovo" name tag emblazoned on the right edge of the device. If we take the renders at face value, the name tag is on the Moto G5 but not the G5 Plus. That would seem a little odd to have it on one device and not the other, so there's also the possibility that the leaked G5 Plus renders are just old or accidentally omitted the tag.

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus Specifications

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will come with similar specifications including full-HD screen resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover for protection, run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, and support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). Some of the other similarities in the handsets include fingerprint scanner at the front, 2GB of RAM, 5-megapixel front camera, and water repellent coating. Both Moto G5 and G5 Plus are expected to come in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold colours.
Coming to the Moto G5 specifications, it will feature a 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi; 32GB onboard storage; 13-megapixel rear camera; 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC; 2800mAh battery with rapid charging support; 4G LTE support, and measure 144.3x73x9.5mm while weight 145 grams. An earlier report has already claimed that the Moto G5 may be priced lower than its predecessor at launch.

Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, will feature a slightly larger 5.2-inch full-HD display; 64GB storage; 3000mAh battery with TurboPower charging; 12-megapixel camera with dual autofocus feature; powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC; 4G LTE, and measure 150.2x74x7.9mm and weigh 155 grams.
