Facial recognition

Face recognition is among the key features of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The feature provides the smartphones an extra layer of security.

Both Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus do not sport facial recognition technology and rely on fingerprint sensor for security besides password input. We hope that Apple include the feature in their 10th edition iPhone

Gigabit LTE support

The Samsung Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ are also among the first smartphones in the world to support Gigabit LTE (up to 1000mbps).

A large credit for this goes to Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor's X16 LTE modem which supports such high speeds. The company’s Exynos 8895 also has Gigabit LTE support. Apple iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus come with up to 450mbps LTE support. With increased number of connectivity option, we expect Apple to include this feature in their new flagship launching in 2017.

Wireless fast-charging

Wireless fast charging technology is not new in Samsung smartphones. The company’s Galaxy S7 also came with the same feature.

Fast charging is one area where we feel Apple is behind for a long time and Apple is expected to launch a real wireless charging with iPhone 8 if reports are to be believed.
