Good news for Verizon users with iPhones. iOS 10.3 now allows Verizon users to make and receive calls through a range of supported iCloud-connected devices, including the iPod , MacBook, iMac, iPad, and Apple Watch. If these devices are signed into your iCloud account, you can make and receive calls from them using your carrier account, even when your iPhone isn’t nearby.

To enable this feature: 
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  4. Enable Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Go back to Settings.
  6. Tap Phone.
  7. Tap Calls on Other Devices.
  8. Toggle on Calls on Other Devices.
  9. Then, make sure that your other iCloud-connected devices have Wi-Fi Calling enabled.

Get a Weather Report in Maps

For those of you with an iPhone 6s model or newer, you can use 3D Touch functionality to trigger a weather forecast pop-up for a specific area from within the Maps app without exiting and opening the Weather app separately. Just follow these steps: 
  1. Open Maps.
  2. Locate the cloud or sun-shaped weather icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Note: If you don’t see the weather icon, try zooming into the map further.
  3. Hard press the icon to pull up a local forecast for the area for that day, with weather information listed by the hour.
  4. If you continue holding on the icon, the Weather app will open in a separate window.

  4. If your misplaced earbuds are within Bluetooth range of you and your device, you can tap on Play Sound from within the Find My iPhone app, which will cause your AirPods to play music to help you track them down.
