Samsung Galaxy S8 will not be able to give fight to iPhone 8 as per new leak
If we talk about the flagship battle in smartphone segment then you will agree that head-to-head battle between Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 is going to be the biggest battle of the year. As we all are aware Samsung has already launched their flagship phone Galaxy S8 and S8+ and Apple is expected to unbox it in September (taking the launch timing from past years).

Although fans can debate the merits of either phone's industrial design, camera, and display long into the night – it's difficult to argue processor scores.

Benchmark apps like Geekbench test a processor to its limits far beyond the strain the average user will exert while checking email, browsing social media and assign a score based on the results.

These scores can be compared against one another, enabling smartphone fans to compare iOS phones against their Android and Windows Phone counterparts.

And that's exactly what someone has purportedly done with the as-yet-unannounced iPhone 8.

For all the Samsung Fans we have some bad news for you and unfortunately for Samsung, which debuted its latest flagship smartphones the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus earlier this month, it's not great news.

According to the screenshot, the Geekbench 4 test was taken on a phone running iOS 11 and an Apple A11 chipset running at 2.74GHz.

That all sounds very plausible based on the rumors around the next iPhone, although it's worth always remembering that it would not take more than 10 minutes to PhotoShop this type of Geekbench score.

Hopefully, that's not the case since the resulting Geekbench score is jaw-droppingly good.

The alleged iPhone 8 racked up a 4537 single-core and 8975 multi-core.

Compared to the scores for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 that powers most models of the Galaxy S8, that’s a colossal lead.

The latter only managed a single-core score of 2059 and 6461 multi-core on its Geekbench 4 test no match for the alleged A11 processor.

For comparison, the A10 system-on-a-chip inside the Apple iPhone 7 tops out at 3505 single-core and 5919 multi-core in Geekbench 4.

The jump from 3505 to 4537 single-core performance between the A10 Fusion and A11 chipset generations sounds about right.

If the leaked scores are accurate, you can expect the same modest but not insignificant performance bump we've come to expect from Apple between iPhone models.
