Google Pixel 'Taimen' will come with 4GB RAM
As per the reports published earlier, the Pixel smartphones will get a refresh this year as Google will launch a new range with its Android ‘O’ update. Certain speculation suggests that Google is preparing three Pixel smartphones this year, moving from the traditional two-size strategy.

In the recent development or leak as you call about the device. The Google Taimen's Geekbench listing, spotted by Dutch site Telefoon Abonnement, suggests that the device will come with an octa-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.90GHz, notes GSMArena. While the processor's name has not been revealed in the leaked benchmark test, it is highly likely to be Snapdragon 835 SoC. It will also have 4 GB of RAM. It scores an 1804 on the single-core test while on the multi-core test it gets 6248. Not exactly topnotch results.

As per earlier reports, Taimen is expected to be bigger than other two Pixel devices - Walleye and Muskie - which are expected to be the direct successors to Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones from last year. Thanks to its larger size, Taimen has been speculated to be a tablet or even a large-screen Android phone, much like the Nexus 6.

So what gives? Given those numbers and the clock speed, there is a distinct chance that the Google taimen is running on a mid-range processor, something like the Snapdragon 653. That would, in turn, support some speculation that claims one of the three new Pixels would be a mid-range variant.
