This is the seasons for new flagship smartphone from the top three company in Industry Samsung, Apple, and Google. Samsung has recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8, a Smartphone which is currently best in the market and hopefully will not surprise its users like its predecessor Galaxy Note 7.

Next big Smartphone which is expected is from the Smartphone biggest player Apple, iPhone 10th anniversary device, iPhone 8, is expected to be launched on 12th September and the third one will be from Search engine and owner of Android Google. This year Google will be launching the successor of last year pixel phones and they have a lot of work to do, in order to complete the biggest competitor Samsung.

As per the reports on the internet, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to launch on October 5, and it looks like more details about the upcoming smartphones have been leaked online. Google Pixel XL 2 and Pixel 2 will be different phones, at least if one goes by the display being adopted, according to a report on PhoneArena.

As per the report, two upcoming Pixel phones from Google may be different in more than one aspects. Apart from the difference in size between Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, the latter may sport almost bezel-less screen. 

Display of Pixel 2 

Many leaked images in the past for the device suggest that Pixel 2 will stick to the design of first generation Pixel devices and will sport large bezels at the top and bottom. Unlike last year when Pixel phones were produced by HTC, this year both the device will be produced by LG, which increases the chances of having a great display. As per the reports Pixel XL 2 will have a 5.99-inch 2K OLED display (1440p). 

Specification of Pixel 2 

As per the Evan Blass, a well-known name for the smartphone leaks revealed that device will be launched on October 5. The tweet also said the Pixel 2 phones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor, which will be a minor upgrade over the current 835 flagship processor. Last year’s Pixel phones had the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

Snapdragon 836 will be an octa-processor with the same 10nm FinFET design and clock speeds of up to 2.5 GHz. The Google Pixel 2 is codenamed ‘walleye’ while the Pixel XL 2 has the codename Taimen. The Pixel 2 was also spotted in a FCC (Federal Communications Commission) filing and the phone could also have ‘squeezable’ edge sensors like the HTC U11. Both the phones are expected to run Android Oreo when they launch.
