If you are also one of many who has not considered Nokia 3310 because of its 2G Network support? Then HMD Global has great news for your, company has now launched a 3G variant of the Nokia 3310. HMD Global has also confirmed that the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and online-only Nokia 6 will be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of 2017.



The Nokia 3310 3G variant will be made available starting in Australia from mid-October. The firm has not yet revealed the India price and availability for the 3G variant.

Nokia 3310 3G will be available in four colours - Yellow, Warm Red, Azure and Charcoal. The feature phone is rated to deliver up to 27 days of standby time and 6.5 hours of talk time.

Apart from the 3G connectivity, the new Nokia 3310 3G also comes with new customisation options for rearranging icons and choosing colour themes. The company is marketing it as all-new customisable retro UI.



The new Nokia 3310, much like its original sibling, features a massive standby time of up to a month, a highlight of the device. The new Nokia 3310 also includes the regular Micro-USB port and ditches the pin charger. It features Bluetooth 2.1 for pairing with speakers and other phones. The phone also features classic Snake game which has been optimised for the new colour screen.

For specifications, the Nokia 3310 3G sports a 2.4-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) colour display. It runs on 'Feature OS powered by Java', as per the company's site, and comes with 64MB storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). On the back is a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash; the feature phone also offers FM radio. Nokia 3310 3G packs a removable 1200mAh battery that is claimed to offer 24 days of standby time for dual-SIM variant. It will be available in Azure, Charcoal, Warm Red, and Yellow colours. It measures 117x52.4x13.3mm and weighs roughly 88 grams for dual-SIM version.

Price and availability of Nokia 3310 3G


The Nokia 3310 3G will be going on sale in Australia from October 16 onward for AUD 89.95 which roughly translates to Rs 4,600. In the land down under, it will be available via two mobile carriers, namely Optus and Vodafone.



Globally, the smartphone will retail for an average price of EUR 69 (roughly Rs 5,320) with a roll-out set to begin from mid-October. There are no details as of now about an Indian release.
