Yu Yureka 2 has been launched with 4 GB of RAM

If you remember, a couple of months back there was news in the market that Micromax-backed YU is going to be shut down because of the competition it is facing from the Chinese Smartphone vendors.

But keeping all the speculation aside company has launched Yu Yureka Black and now the company has launched Yureka 2. Newly launched Yureka 2, priced at Rs 11,999. Yureka 2 will be available exclusively via Flipkart during its Big Billion Day sale on September 20. Flipkart’s Big Billion Day starts on September 20 and will continue till September 24.

In terms of design, the Yureka 2 sports a metal body in gold color with a 2.5D glass up front. Unlike the Yureka Black, the Yureka 2 comes without a physical home button. Instead, the smartphone houses three capacitive touch buttons up front, with a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. The rear camera lens is placed at the top-left corner, and two antenna lines pass through the top and bottom.

Display, Processors, RAM and Storage

The Yu Yureka 2 sports a metal body and comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display and 2.5D glass for added protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM. The handset offers 64GB of built-in storage.

Cameras

As for the optics, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera also comes with features like night mode, beauty mode, multi shots and others.

Battery and Software

The device is backed by a 3930mAh battery, and the company claims to deliver music playback of more than 24 hours. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. Yureka 2 runs on Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box

In any case, with this launch, Yu Yureka 2 becomes the sixth smartphone under the Yureka series. Previously the company launched the Yu Yureka, Yureka Plus, Yureka Note, Yureka S and Yureka Black.

Furthermore, now that the smartphone has been announced, it will be going up against a wide range of budget Android smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K8 Note amongst others.
